The electronics brand’s Samsung TV Plus streaming service seems to want to put Korean culture (more) in the spotlight with the launch of its first European linear channel dedicated to K-Pop for the UK markets. Available exclusively and free on Samsung TV Plus, the FAST channel will feature music videos, concert footage and interviews with K-pop’s biggest stars. The channel primarily focuses on high-quality, artist-specific content from STUDIO CHOOM, CJ ENM’s K-pop dance channel, and Performance 37, as well as highlights from the inaugural K-Awards. pop world, MAMA, and the annual K-POP fan and artist festival, KCON, designed to captivate K-pop fans around the world.
This addition is the first step in an investment of more than 4,000 hours of K content into Samsung homes. In early 2025, Samsung TV Plus Europe will launch a series of other K-content titles on VOD to ensure flexibility in viewing, following key partnerships with Korea’s most renowned production companies , CJ ENM and NEW ID, and with the distribution company KT Alpha.
