Clearly, all manufacturers are turning to finesse to convince consumers. Samsung is preparing its Galaxy S25 Slim while Apple is also working on an iPhone 17 Air expected to be ultra-thin. Today, it’s time for Oppo and its Find N5.
The Oppo Find N5, an ultra-fine smartphone
Oppo’s Pete Lau (Liu Zuohu) unveils an image of the Oppo Find N5 foldable smartphone reserved for China and launched globally under the name OnePlus Open 2. The photo shows us a thickness below a pencil, even surpassing the Honor Magic V3.

To do this, a 3D titanium alloy hinge was used and even promises great resistance. Oppo also guarantees improvements in battery, display and photo quality.
What will be the technical sheet of the Oppo Find N5?
According to leakers Smart Pikachu and Digital Chat Station, the Find N5, codenamed “Haiyan”has an impressive technical sheet with the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.
The smartphone will have two screens: a 6.4-inch external panel and an 8-inch internal foldable panel, both at 2K definition with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The camera unit was designed in partnership with Hasselblad and consists of three 50-megapixel sensors: the main one, an ultra-wide-angle lens and a periscopic telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. We are also talking about two selfie sensors of 32 megapixels inside and 20 megapixels outside.
For the battery, leaks suggest 6,000 mAh with fast charging of 80 W wired and 50 W wireless. The Oppo Find N5 will benefit from satellite communication and a three-position alert slider.
For the design, the smartphone will be made of titanium with IPX8 certification which guarantees water resistance. Oppo promises “the most durable foldable screen” first half of 2025, with a reinforced anti-fall structure and an improved metallic texture. This foldable model will run under OxygenOS 15 and will be compatible with the Apple ecosystem.
