Painter, sculptor and theorist, Abderrahmane Raboule marked the Moroccan art scene through its unique approach and its educational commitment. Inspired by the architecture and culture of Casablancahis works explore anthropomorphic forms which weave a subtle link between tradition and modernity.
Born in Casablanca in 1944, Raboule played an essential role in the emergence ofcontemporary art in Morocco. An active member of the Casablanca School and former director of the city’s Fine Arts, he has had a lasting influence on an entire generation of artists.
