After the takeover by a new team at the head of the Barbaste tourist office, a first event was organized in the fall: a painting and poetry competition.

President Marie-Christine Brésolin brought together the members of the association at a general meeting at the start of the year in order to make an initial point and begin to develop the program of upcoming events.

In turn, the various assessments (moral, financial) were discussed, and some decisions taken concerning certain modifications to the statutes in order to better adapt them to the current situation of the association and modify its title, SI L’ART in the future , all decisions were made unanimously.

June 7 and 8: painting competition and new activities on the program.

As before, the painting competition will take place in the streets of the village on the Pentecost weekend of June 7 and 8. The awards ceremony will take place in front of the theater. A workshop clearance will also be organized at the town hall square.

A new activity which should be repeated every year will also join this painting competition. “Entre deux Rives”, the GAAMA Gallery associated with the Zanzibar Gallery will organize an artistic trail. Around twenty artists (painters, sculptors, etc.) will present their works on the route separating the two galleries, from the city center to the Moulin des via the Pont Roman, where its launch evening will take place on Friday evening June 6 .
