A little focus on this Friday evening’s outings: that’s it, the year has really started.
Et another new Friday in the world of French rapWho slowly starting to wake up after the holidays end of year. Because if the weeks preceding the winter holidays are often weeks of big outings, then things calm down. A deathly boring calm, during the first days of January, but this time there it is: the 2025 French rap season is launched. With Ziak, Rim’K, Youssoupha, and even Coelho, WaïV, Dau, Timal. In short, there is something for everyone this Friday!
Ziak, the most anticipated
Ziak absolutely shocked French rap with “Akimbo”, before slowing down a little with “Chrome”. Suffice to say that his brand new album which comes out today, “Essonne History X”, is highly anticipated, and that’s good, it’s here. With very ambitious feats: TH, Kaaris, Josman, Jolagreen, and Zedgreat casting even if we know that Ziak is often better solo.
Ensuite, it’s Rim’K who surprises fans, with an EP released almost without doing any promotion. The project is called “RUN”, it contains 4 titles including a feat with TH (in all the good ways) and another with SDMthat alone should convince you to go listen to it. To stick with the old ones, we also have Youssoupha who is releasing a new song available this Friday: “God is great”a piece that is apparently written for his daughter.
-Project level, we also note that Coelhofinalist of “Nouvelle Ecole” season 2, reveals his new album “Un jour sans fin”. As for the songs to listen to this weekend, we also have some pretty big names: Ben PLG, DAU, Graya, Kalash Criminel, JRK 19, Lartiste, Nahir, Souffrance, Timal with Leto and Gradur, or even TK. Anyway, that’s it, we’ve really started the rap year.
