Screening of documentaries by Jean Painlevé. Echoing the exhibition “Les pieds dans l’eau” by Jean Painlevé, 20th century filmmaker and documentarian currently presented at Point du Jour, discover 2 films made by the artist. Le Grand Cirque Calder (1955, 43 min): Attend a performance of the Calder Circus, a famous miniature circus made between 1926 and 1931 by Alexander Calder, friend of Jean Painlevé. Bluebeard (1936, 13 min): this stop-motion animated short film is the first made entirely from wire and modeling clay. All public, free.

Baby workshop sign. Baby signing is a method that encourages non-verbal expression allowing toddlers to communicate before they can speak. Using simple signs from French Sign Language (FSL), you will learn to integrate gestures into your daily routine while benefiting from practical advice. Supervised by Jennifer Lordel of Accès Signes, the workshop this month will gently bring us into winter with signs associated with the cold. A treasure hunt to discover vegan food. As part of the 5th edition of Operation Veganuary, the animal rights association L214 is organizing a unique treasure hunt to discover plant-based food, in partnership with local businesses.

Bicycle self-repair workshop. One Saturday morning a month, the Pignons sur rue association helps you repair your bike. The workshop is participatory, so you participate in the DIY, with the tools, advice and good humor of the association’s volunteers. The service is free (annual membership €10) except billing at cost price (therefore modest) for small wearing parts (brake pads, cables, sheaths, etc.) if they need to be changed.

Holder of the first public collection of early works by Jean-François Millet, the Thomas Henry museum has redesigned the room dedicated to the artist, in particular to better present the later phases of his artistic life and his links with the Cotentin territory. This guided tour will reveal this new space which integrates works previously in storage and a recently acquired early sketch.
