To start the year, the theater workshop and the rural center invited the Compagnie des Sassafras d’Auch to come and play the play “Intra muros”, by Alexis Michalik, Sunday January 12, at 3:30 p.m., at the rural center from Mauvezin. Alexis Michalik is a recognized contemporary playwright and director and one of the youngest directors ever awarded.
The Compagnie des Sassafras, an amateur theater company, is based in Auch. Its niche is contemporary theater with a new play every two years. The play “Intra muros”, written in 2017, navigates between reality and fiction, where Richard, a fallen director, offers a theater class in a prison. “Intra muros” explores the lives of two inmates, Kevin and Ange, and their interaction with Richard during a theater class. Funny and moving at the same time, the two convicts linked by their friendship will play the game by recounting their personal adventures with candor or brutality.
As usual, an aperitif will be served after the show, where spectators and actors mingle.
