The new year is launched at the Buissonnière bookstore, relayed by L’Escapade bandenière which will hold its general meeting on Saturday January 11, at 7 p.m., at the Lombez writing house.

An exhibition of photographs by Sylvie Hannoyer, “Flic puddle, floc water mirror of the world”, a series of 17 photos on the theme of water in all its forms showing it from an artistic and/or ecological angle, is installed . Each photograph is accompanied by a descriptive text, combining reflection, anecdotes and humor. It is on view until Friday February 28.

The chess club will meet at 3 p.m. tomorrow (for experienced players), Wednesday 15th and Wednesday 29th (for beginners). It’s free, upon registration.

A “dictation and literary quiz” evening is offered Friday 10, at 6:30 p.m. (free, upon registration). A subjective writing workshop led by Sylviane Lopez-Jean will be held Thursday 16, at 6:30 p.m. (information on subjectivefr.wordpress.com or at 07.43.10.35.33; upon registration, limited number of places). A signed coffee, meetings and games in French sign language, will take place on Friday 17th (free, upon registration). “Knitting” (knitting, embroidery, crochet, etc.) will be on the program for Saturday 18, at 3 p.m. (free entry). The Circle of Busy Readers will meet around the theme “South American literature” on Thursday 23, at 6:30 p.m. (free, upon registration). A musical evening (jams and covers) will take place on Friday 24, at 7 p.m. (free entry, with Spanish inn).
