The starting point of this theatrical stay is the registration in the Theater specialty baccalaureate program for the next two years of the collective creation by Ariane Mnouchkine, “1789”. This stay was therefore the perfect opportunity for these 27 actors to discover this contemporary and activist director, at the head of the troupe of the Théâtre du Soleil, who has been presenting, since November, her latest show at La Cartoucherie de Vincennes, “ICI are the dragons. »
Nay: numerous projects for 2025
The mayor, Bruno Bourdaa, sent his wishes to the Nayais in a video on the town hall’s Facebook page. It takes stock of past actions and presents future projects.
Thursday, December 12, the high school students experienced a magical moment. They first took the free shuttle which crosses the Bois de Vincennes to reach La Cartoucherie, then warmed up in the outdoor braziers, shared a meal prepared and served by the actors themselves, watched them prepare while waiting for the twelve shots and the three traditional shots struck by Ariane Mnouchkine at the opening of the theater. They then attended an epic show in three languages, discussed the show with Vincent Mangado, before taking the last shuttle, stars in their eyes, heading to the youth hostel.
“Intense”, the word returned to the mouths of the young people and those accompanying this stay, to describe these three days which allowed them to discover, in addition to the Cartoucherie, the Comédie-Française, the Opéra Garnier, the Théâtre du Rond -Point and multiple actors of the performing arts whether they are actors, head of reading committee, fashion designers, cultural mediators or even former students of Saint-Joseph breaking into the world of theater.
The night train which brought them back to Pau on Saturday December 14 was certainly too short to digest the plurality of theatrical experiences they had, sprinkled with the glittering Eiffel Tower and the bells of the restored Notre Dame which will ring in their ears for a long time to come.
