This evening, our BDL were traveling to Briançon to compete in the semi-final of the Coupe de France. Our BDL won brilliantly with a score of 5 goals to 0.
A first third in half measure
In this first period, the two teams measure each other for long minutes. The Briançonnais manage to keep possession of the puck while our BDL look for the loophole in the opposing cage. It was in the fifteenth minute that Christophe Boivin made the many Grenoble supporters who came to support their team breathe (15′ Briançon 0 – 1 Grenoble).
A second period to widen the gap
It was a more prolific period for the Rouge et Bleu who added two goals to their tally. Indeed, Christophe Boivin scores a double and makes the break for the BDL at the same time (23′ Briançon 0 – 2 Grenoble). At 29 minutes, it was an action from Adel Koudri that Sacha Treille finished perfectly in the back of the net from Devils goalkeeper Griffen OUTHOUSE (29′ Briançon 0 – 3 Grenoble).
Conclude for Paris
In this final period, it will only take a minute for François Beauchemin to find the net (41′ Briançon 0 – 4 Grenoble). At 53 minutes of play, the opposing team’s coach calls a time-out and takes out his goalkeeper to benefit from an additional field player. But the Devils’ hope will only be short-lived since 41 seconds later, Guillaume Leclerc will score the opponent’s goal and thus propel us to Paris!
Our team wins with a whitewash for Matija Pintaric and 5 goals!
We will therefore face the Dukes of Angers on February 16 at the Accord Arena in Paris-Bercy.
We will keep you informed tomorrow of travel arrangements for Paris!
