Since its rebirth in 2019 thanks to the self-sacrifice of its owners Ludmila De Loutchek and Frédérique Barre, the old La Bégude farm has continued to evolve, becoming an essential place of culture.

Managed by the Les Amis de La Bégude association, the site hosts a wide program of events all year round, including numerous concerts, craft markets and theatrical performances.

“The buildings have been listed since the 15th century but everything was ruins when we arrived… The titanic work undertaken to bring the 1,700 m2 of construction back to life was long and grueling, especially as it was necessary to put in place at the same time artistic programs and cuisines, but we are happy to have achieved today’s result”, comment the two managers.

A success hailed by Petit Futé

A success noted and praised by the guide Petit Futé which has referenced the site since 2023. Ideally located on the axis linking Ardèche to , the influence of La Bégude extends well beyond and many guests flock from Nîmes and , particularly attracted by the jazz performances become a must for the place or the open stages, where came, among other artists, Océane M, winner of L’incredible Alésien 2023 in the singing category. The association also offers the privatization of its vast rooms for weddings, conferences or meetings, adding a string to its bow in terms of reception. “Nothing would have been possible without the volunteers who give so much of their time and their kindness, a warmth that visitors appreciate and which makes our farm such a friendly place where we like to meet up”, conclude Frédérique Barre and Ludmila De Loutchek with emotion.
