Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made the right decision by announcing his resignation today.
His resignation marks a turning point as Canada faces unprecedented domestic and international challenges. Canada cannot afford inaction with so many important issues at stake. Unity is essential: political leaders, businesses and communities must work together to seize our shared opportunities. Canada’s next Prime Minister will need to act quickly and focus on strengthening trade relations between Canada and the United States.
We have always been a nation of builders, and we must channel our entrepreneurial spirit to boost our productivity and meet the priorities of Canadians. The time for wasteful spending is over – we must aim higher and give all Canadians the better life they deserve.
The Canadian Chamber of Commerce thanks Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for his years of dedicated service to Canada.
