Babies born since January 1, 2025 change era. They also do not belong to the Alpha generation (which ran from 2010 to 2024), but to the Beta generation (in force until 2039). For these children, “the digital and physical worlds will be inseparable”analyzes on his blog Mark McCrindle, social science researcher in Australia. According to him, these newborns will certainly be the first to discover “large-scale autonomous transportation, wearable health technologies and immersive virtual environments”.

“While the Alpha generation has experienced the rise of smart technologies and artificial intelligence, the Beta generation will live in an era where A and automation will be fully integrated into daily life, education and workplaces to health care and leisure”, we also learn.

According to research agency McCrindle, the Beta generation will represent 16% of the world’s population by 2035. Also, many children of this generation will live long enough to see the 22nd century.

As a reminder, here are the names of the main preceding generations: Baby boomers for 1946-1964, generation -2024.
