The funfair is around fifty rides which are gathered in the town center of (), ranging from the Booster thrill ride to duck fishing for the little ones. She will leave Place de la République on Sunday January 12. It is time to draw up the first conclusions of these first two and a half weeks.

A nuanced assessment

As for the fairgrounds, the first observations are not quite the same. Some are satisfied with the influx of the public, as David Pasquier, manager of the bumper cars, shares: “We have a lot of people. The weather has generally been kind to us. We hope to continue this momentum. »

Same observation with Adina Cérchia, who is in charge of the La tête à l’envers attraction: “There has been a good turnout so far, we always have people coming. »

This opinion is not completely shared by Steeve Ligny, from the Royal croustillon stand.

“For the moment, we have mixed results, we feel that there is less attendance than in other years. Despite this, we are always very well received here. We’ve been coming for 10 years, and I think it will be a short year for us. »

The three of them noticed a change in the habits of the Lexovians. “People come later and later, we are open from 2 p.m., but we really see a lot of people around 4-4:30 p.m. Consequently, people leave later,” declares David Pasquier.

A popular fair that delights children

On the visitors’ side, the observation also needs to be qualified. Even if the funfair remains an obligatory visit when you have children, the priority remains the price of the rides.

“We have two children, we set a budget of 30 euros, and it costs 4 or 5 euros per attraction, it adds up quickly. Fortunately we have good ones, otherwise they wouldn’t be able to do much. We come for snacks and to please the children. They do the thrill rides and the rifle shooting, we know they are happy”

Thomas Delarue.

For Audrey and Guillaume, parents of a 6-year-old child, “the funfair remains emblematic, we are regulars. Prices remain affordable for the moment.”

Special days

There is one big week left to enjoy the funfair as he wishes. A special day will take place on Wednesday with the mascots. And, on January 11 and 12, for the last weekend, prices will be reduced: €3 on all participating rides, €4 for the Booster.
