For the first time this year, the presentation of the work of amateur artists, at the Galerie des Capucines, will take place in January.
It will be an opportunity to bring together two friends, Graziella Capraro and Gine Guiol. The first is a photographer and the other is a painter and watercolorist, and their exhibition is entitled “The Dawn of Amateur Artists”. Graziella will take you into a magical world in total immersion in an ephemeral universe.
The eye catches a drop of water, the next moment it has disappeared. The sun is reflected on the surface of the water, the tide sculpts the sand, the next wave reshapes the design. Life is movement, surprise, beauty, like an eternal new beginning! Thanks to her photos, she immortalizes a fleeting moment.
As for Gine, she is a self-taught artist, who discovered oil painting thanks to Mr. Viani d’Agen.
She also experimented with other mediums before turning to watercolor, loving to represent the imagination between abstraction and figuration.
For her, the subject must remain recognizable, while maintaining a certain mystery. She appreciates the serendipity: “In front of the blank page, inspiration comes from observation or the desire to tell a story”.
The opening of this first 2025 exhibition, open to all, will take place on Thursday January 9 at 6:30 p.m., at the Galerie des Capucines of the MJC in Onet le Château.
