VIDEO – The young 24-year-old host has just taken the reins of the France Télévisions show. And this new adventure was not done under a certain apprehension that he delivered in “Face à Hanouna” this Saturday, September 14.
This is a great promotion that Théo Curin was offered. The former disabled swimmer, who became a presenter – first in “Le Magazine de la santé” then “T’es au top!” and “Aux jeux citoyens” on the channels of the France Télévisions group – took over the presentation of the emblematic game “Slam”. Presented for over a decade by Cyril Féraud, he finally changed face during the summer. The young presenter, aged just 24, was Cyril Hanouna’s guest on “Face à Hanouna” this Saturday, September 14. The opportunity for him to talk about the days leading up to his appointment.
“Honestly, I was pretty scared. Afraid that Cyril would take it the wrong way because it’s his baby. Fifteen years hosting this show. I was afraid he’d be a little frustrated or something like that,” he confided to the troublemaker of C8. And to continue: “And in fact he called me straight away, he gave me a lot of support, especially while I waited.” After passing the casting for the host, Théo Curin went for several days without news. So much so that he thought he had missed out. “And Cyril [Féraud] told me that I was still in the race, that I had to be patient.” The host, now working on the show “Everyone Wants to Take His Place”, gave him a whole bunch of advice. “He also advised me not to do Cyril Féraud, to be myself as much as possible.”explained Théo Curin.
“It’s tiring”
The young man, a former Paralympic athlete, completed his remarks by showing how down-to-earth he was. “I’m very happy. We know that sometimes on television there is still a lot of rivalry and I don’t feel it at all at the moment. It’s healthy and it feels good. I am well supported, protected and I hope it lasts because it’s magnificent. It’s a beautiful story.”he acknowledged. An unusual adventure which, however, has the disadvantage of imposing a frenetic pace on the host. “It’s tiring”he admitted with a smile on his lips before going into details: “Yes, we have a big rhythm. We shoot six shows a day.”
