It was this Saturday, December 21, that a series of three lyrical concerts, “Crèche vivant”, began in the renovated church of the village of Lacropte, before being given the next day in Veyrines-de-Vergt then in Montagnac-la-Crempse the day before Santa Claus visits.
The troupe led by Stéphanie Brunet was made up of high-level artists, Anna Hattermann (lyrical soprano) and Angelo Heck (bass baritone), both students at the National Superior Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris. They were joined by the local choir, two guitarists who accompanied well-known songs, and a talented young flutist. At the precise hour, the doors of the church, with a characteristic creak of wood, opened to let Joseph and Mary enter, installed on a sort of sulky, thus going up to the nave, a stage space for an evening .
The powerful, fair and clear voice of the two artists performing a well-known classic from the outset was unanimous. Previously, Gwendoline had, from her very young years, described what was going to happen. Repeated applause at the end of each scene. Following the intermission, the tempo was a little different. After the reminders, we gathered around a hot drink and some seasonal sweet delights.
