This Monday, December 23, 2024, the president of the Réunion Region, Huguette Bello, and the vice-president Karine Nabenesa met Zoé Payet, a young ten-year-old from Réunion who was selected to join the prestigious dance school of the Opéra de Paris. Faced with the significant costs linked to this project, the Réunion Region is providing financial support to support the young Reunion Islander.
The Réunion Regional Council is committed to encouraging the young talents of the island who carry the colors of the island high and embody the future, in particular with new aid which should help our talent and our excellence to have no borders .
As Karine Nabenesa, vice-president of the Réunion region, points out: “We must encourage and promote Réunion excellence so that it can shine in mainland France and internationally. Within the regional majority, we want to help these families to believe, dream and hope, and we will help them as best we can to bear the cost of their ambitions.”
