The Les Arcs European Film Festival ended this Friday, December 20 during a closing ceremony organized at the Bernard Taillefer center in Arc 1 800.

On this occasion, the prizes for this 16th edition were awarded.

Prize list

Crystal Arrow

The prestigious Crystal Arrow was awarded to the film Kneecap by British director Rich Peppiat.

Best Original

Big winner of this evening, Kneecap, the feature film which immerses spectators in the world of Irish rap also leaves with the audience prize, that of Cinglés du cinéma and finally that of best original music.

Two performance awards

The Grand Jury – composed this year of Pio Marmaï, Céline Sallette, Sofiane Zermani, Delphine de Vigan, Herdís Stefánsdóttir and Peter Kerekes – awarded two performance prizes.

The first goes to Italian actress Marilena Amato for her role in the film Vittoria.

And the second goes to Norwegian actress Helga Guren for the film Loveable.

Festival Grand Prix

This same Norwegian feature film by Lilja Ingolfsdottir, Loveable, was also awarded the Grand Prize of the festival.

Audience Award

The film Peacock by Austrian director Bernhard Wenger won the votes of spectators at the Arcs Film Festival and took home the audience prize.

Cineuropa Prize and best photography

The film Toxic by Lithuanian director Saulé Bliuvaité received the Cineuropa prize as well as that for best photography.

The UniversCiné prize

The UniversCiné prize in the Height selection which rewards auteur cinema goes this year to September & July, the first feature film by Ariane Labed.

The Best Short Film Award

Finally, the short film jury, chaired this year by actress Camille Chamoux, awarded Dancing in the Corner by Polish director Jan Bujnowski.
