The Allume le post association was born in 2018 “from a desire to network and disseminate local rock groups and elsewhere”, says Daniel Guérin, its president, who very quickly had the idea for this event. charitable. The reason? This forty-something, active on the rock scene since the 1990s, became a father and was one day faced with the hospitalization of his child. “I proposed the project to my friends and they followed. » Allume le Post turned to the Blouses Roses, a historic association – active since 1960 in Bordeaux – specializing in entertainment (creative workshops, shows, etc.) for children and patients of all ages. “There are around 170 volunteers,” says Nathalie Ballet, co-president of the Bordeaux Pink Blouses committee. “We intervene in the maternity ward of the CHU, at the Children’s Hospital, Bergonié, Haut-Lévèque, in 12 nursing homes… With all vulnerable people. »
One entry, one toy
For the formula, Daniel Guérin remembered the Christmas charity concerts, at Jimmy or Barbey (“Rockers have heart”), in the 1990s. Here too, entry is conditional on the donation of a toy of at least five euros: “It’s also a way of involving the public. Only new toys: we are subject to the hygiene rules of establishments,” recalls Nathalie Ballet, who specifies that there are needs for everyone, “from toddlers to teenagers. »
On the programming side, Allume le post has brought together for Saturday evening four groups from Bordeaux that can be described as “postrock”. Either the noisy and climatic duo Garce (aka Henri and Malik), the trendy female punk quartet “Riot grrrl” from Nana Sapritch, Monochrome Zero and its “abysmal and soaring” rock (associated with the artist Jumi Visuals), and the “indie” Goodbye 20 Hello 30. Everyone will be volunteers for the occasion, and also generous on stage.
