To celebrate the return of Kamome Shirahama in our regions on the occasion of the Angoulême International Comic Strip Festival, the editions Pika will inaugurate next month a new edition of The Sorcerers’ Workshopmore dense and prestigious.
Titled Grimoire editionthis new version will consist of large format double volumes (150x200cm) with careful finishing, including a hard cardboard cover, hot foil stamping and edge-edging in order to give the works of this edition the appearance of old grimoires. Content-wise, color pages of the pre-publication and other bonuses will be included. The first volume will offer 18 color pages as well as illustrations, graphic research and interviews from the limited edition artbooks of the original edition. In short, this Grimoire Edition promises to be an ultimate version of the work of Kamome Shirahama.
The first volume will appear in bookstores on January 22, 2025 and will consist of 432 pages. Each volume will be sold at the price of 19.95€. A new opus will appear every three months.
In progress since 2016 in the magazine Morning Two editions Kodanshaunder the original title Tongari Bôshi no Atelier, the manga Sorcerers’ Workshop currently has 13 volumes in Japan. Building on its success, it is entitled to its own spin-off from the hands of mangaka Hiromi Satô: The Wizards’ Kitchen.
A animated adaptation produced by the Bug Films studio and directed by Ayumu Watanabe will be broadcast in 2025. It will be available in our regions on Crunchyroll.
