No offense to the latecomers, it was at 7 p.m. sharp that you had to be present at the Accor Arena last night. To celebrate with great fanfare its historic double date at Bercy, Justice invited several renowned artists for the first part of an anthology. After So-Me and Paul Prier, singer and musician seen in particular alongside Charlotte Gainsbourg, it is a real 45-minute B2B to which the 20,000 spectators ready to fight were treated. Understand, a DJ set featuring Busy P (aka Pedro Winter) and some of his faithful friends like Breakbot & Irfane, Andy 4000 and Carlita, who came to play “Baby I’m Yours”, “One More Time” from Daft Punk “I Love You So” or “Feeling for You” by Cassius, as during the Paralympics closing ceremony. Either the “ Avengers du dance floor » as Pedro Winter likes to say, as the true conductor of this opening. But it was obviously Kavinsky, at the end of these 45 minutes, who was the most acclaimed. This even if the red-eyed DJ preferred to play “Outrun” than his hit “Nightcall” which has returned to the top since the Olympics…

Electronic mass

Barely time to regain his senses when Justice arrives on stage, acclaimed like emperors. Or gladiators ready to conquer the arena. The peplumesque intro of “Genesis”, which resonates throughout the four corners of Bercy, gives us a first slap in the face. A few enough notes to Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Augé, in the darkness and golden jackets on their shoulders, to immediately put the audience in a trance. And the rave returns from the summer tour were not exaggerated: yes, the Justice concert is one of the best of the year. And the most beautiful way to end 2024 in music We might as well say it straight away, through the few lines that follow, it is difficult to transcribe an experience as exhilarating, enjoyable, powerful and impactful as a Justice concert, lived in a Accor Arena packed. A real mass, and a consecration for these two former graphic designers, who have never been so popular.

A treat for the ears but also for the eyes. As usual, Justice delivers a completely astonishing show: wall of screens, moving neon bars encircling or enclosing the duo and above all a stunning light show, lighting up the whole of Bercy and transforming the pit into a giant club. Like his latest album “Hyperdrama”, Justice’s live performance is thus constructed like a constant ping-pong between past and present. Thus, the recent (and excellent) “Mannequin Love” mixes with the classic “We Are Your Friends”, “One Night/All Night” makes friends with the hit “DANCE” and the disco-funk scents of “Safe and Sound” meet those of the bomb “Neverender”, crossed by the voice of Kevin Parker (Tame Impala). All this in 45 minutes, the most exhilarating we have experienced live in a long time.

Introduced by the explosive “Stress”, the second part of the set explodes the decibel counter, and BPM, in a release as enjoyable as necessary. Triturating “Incognito” and “Stress” in almost trance versions, the duo raises 40,000 arms on “Audio, Video, Disco” then ends with a bang with a completely revisited “DANCE”, supplemented here and there by other snatches of “Safe and Sound” and “Neverender.” Perfect way to come full circle and summarize 20 years of career at the top. After an encore in the form of a giant megamix where “Phantom”, “Civilization”, “Waters of Nazareth” or “Helix” intersect, Xavier and Gaspard, freed from their light cage, return to the front of the stage and finish the concert as usual, by an ultra-deserved crowd bath. 1h30 of a mastered and totally astonishing show practically without pause. There you have it, Justice has put Bercy at his feet and written his name even further into history. And they have the luxury of doing it again this evening!
