The Les Amis des Arts association continues its actions to promote Verniolle’s heritage. From now on, its members invite walkers to discover the walking circuit “of the Crosses of Verniolle and other curiosities”. A project that has been under construction for two years. The circuit can be consulted on the association’s website (amisdesarts.fr/). On this site, those interested can find a map of the circuit and some points of reference on the 14 crosses or curiosities marking this route. Volunteers from the French Hiking Federation came to mark out this circuit which is listed on their site. Plates with QR code allowing more information should be positioned on each cross. An easy walk to discover the village.
Next spring, the association wishes to produce an exhibition on the theme of “the tree in all its forms”. For this exhibition, a call is launched to all “tree” artists to participate in this event by presenting their works around this theme. The creations can be drawings, paintings, models, objects… in wood, paper, plastic or fabric… The constraint: that the works proposed should not be more than 50 cm to be able to accommodate a maximum of creations and thus constitute an original and extraordinary. The Friends of the Arts are counting on each other’s imagination to succeed in this ephemeral and joyful planting.
