Drawing, painting, sculpture, digital or textile – represented in force this year – all types of arts took place at the Jura Museum of Arts in Moutier. And this until February 2, 2025, the closing date of the exhibition organized as part of the Cantonale Berne Jura, in which eleven institutions from Thun to Porrentruy are participating. The flagship cultural building of the Prévôté and its actresses – three women made up the jury, including curator Valentine Reymond – selected 29 artists, from 525 applications, who are therefore exhibited in Moutier.
Contemporary art occupies the spaces and floors of the house on rue Centrale 4. And the modern goes quite well with the beautiful ceiling moldings dating from the beginning of the 20th century.e century. But who says contemporary art says criticism of our time. With gloom prevailing these times, artists often take a scathing look at our postmaterialist society.

Like the Jurassian Anouk Richard and her guns drawn larger than life but colorful. “They are both realistic as weapons but could be confused with children’s toys. Do some people consider war a game?” asks Valentine Reymond.
