According to information from The TribuneMweneluko was reportedly shot and killed. He even received a severe warning last week. His house was reportedly targeted by projectiles. No one has been arrested in this case.
Criminal background
Furthermore, the man has a busy legal career. According to documents obtained from court registries, he received four criminal sentences and still had two pending cases relating to possession of property obtained by crime and simple assault at the time of his death.
However, Nyoka Mweneluko’s heaviest sentence was for receiving a pecuniary advantage obtained from the commission of sexual services. The Gatineau police had also issued a wanted notice against the individual in 2019. For this crime, he received a sentence of 780 days of detention.
He also received a suspended sentence with 12 months’ probation for theft, and was sentenced to 90 days in jail for obstructing justice.
Killed Saturday
Remember that the police were called to go behind 4300 Bourque Boulevard, a building housing the Maxi club, the Sherbrooke Boxing Club and the UPA Estrie, on Saturday, a little before 7 p.m. The victim was pronounced dead on site.
The Sûreté du Québec is now leading the investigation, in collaboration with the Sherbrooke Police Department.
This case recalls that of the murder of Alan Kruja which occurred on October 3 in the north of Sherbrooke. The young man was found dead at his mother’s house while serving a house sentence. No connection is currently known between the two homicides.
