Since last weekend, Christmas entertainment is back in La Roche-sur-Yon and in the urban area. A quick tour of this weekend’s program.

The Creators Market

The boutique workshop Le Labo Chuchote is organizing the 7e edition of its traditional creators’ market, highlighting local crafts. The dates are Friday December 6 and 13, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., as well as Saturday December 7, 14 and Sunday December 8 and 15, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at Passage Médicis, 5 rue du Passage.

The La Garenne Market

Activities such as decorating the Christmas tree and face painting are offered during events organized by the Citizen Council. This event will take place on Saturday, December 7, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Place des Victoires.

The Little Train

Building on its success in 2023, the little train will take families on a magical journey from December 6 to 29, 2024, Place du Président Jacques-Chirac (free entertainment).

The hours are as follows: Friday December 6 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, December 7 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday December 8, Wednesday December 11 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The Enchanted Bubbles

Between transparent bubbles and fantastic animals with a thousand lights, visit this magical course (free access) installed in the new Joséphine-de-Beauharnais garden and enjoy a timeless experience. This year, advice to amateur and professional pianists: give space to your artistic talents on the piano with free access.

Friday, December 6 at 6:30 p.m., pianist Pascal Buttin will perform on the occasion of the inauguration of the village of enchanted bubbles. Piano hours: Friday, December 6 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, December 7 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday, December 8 and Wednesday, December 11 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Christmas parade

Saturday, December 7, downtown merchants invite you to a Christmas parade with nine mascots, accompanied by a music group and cheerleaders. Meet for the start of the parade at 3 p.m., Place de la Vendée.

In Fougère

Friday, December 6, take part in the Winter Festival with activities for young and old, a concert with the group Les Mains dans les Poches, and surprises to share with family or friends. Entrance is free and free. Catering on site. Meet at 6:30 p.m., Multipurpose room, rue des Primevères.

To Dompierre-sur-Yon

From Friday December 6 to Sunday December 8, discover the Autres routes Christmas market. On the program: lighting of the Christmas tree, arrival of Santa Claus to distribute free ride tickets for children, makeup workshop and juggling show… Friday December 6 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.; Saturday, December 7 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., with an oyster bar and a La Loco Bulles show; Sunday December 8 from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Place de la Résistance et du Maquis R1.

At Venansault

Saturday, December 7, take part in the Christmas Telethon with hikes, a running race, a toy exchange, an ice rink, a carousel, magic, virtual reality, angling, a Christmas market , an elf walk, a raffle, balloon sculptures, face painting, a barrel organ and DIY workshops.

Entrance is free, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., to the Îlot des Arts car park or to the gym in case of unfavorable weather.

In Rives-de-l’Yon

Saturday, December 7, elves workshops and a show will delve into the magic of Advent and help prepare for Christmas. Discover an introduction to scrapbooking and the creation of Christmas decorations. The show Christmas baubles by the company Oz & twal, with a magician and a balloon sculptor, from 2:30 p.m., at the Maison des Libellules, Chaillé-sous-les-Ormeaux.

Sunday, December 8, a Christmas market will provide plenty of gift ideas. More than 40 exhibitors will be present, including photos with Santa Claus, carriage rides, rides, children’s workshops, story readings in the library and Christmas carols.
