Pierre Palmade did not appeal his five-year prison sentence, including two years after a violent road accident that he caused while under the influence of drugs, Agence France-Presse reported on Tuesday ( AFP) the Melun prosecutor. The 56-year-old comedian will be “summoned soon” by the public prosecutor of Bordeaux, where he resides, for the execution of his sentence, the public prosecutor of this city, Frédérique Porterie, also told AFP.
On November 20, the Melun court found Pierre Palmade guilty of involuntary injury to a family in the violent collision he caused on a road in Seine-et-Marne, while driving under the influence of drugs.
On February 10, 2023, getting behind the wheel after three days of using drugs without sleeping, the actor collided with a car traveling in the opposite lane. Three people were seriously injured: a 38-year-old man, his 6-year-old son and his 27-year-old sister-in-law who, pregnant, lost the child she was expecting after the shock.

In accordance with the prosecution’s requisitions, the judges sentenced the comedian and actor to five years in prison, three of which were suspended on probation. For the two years, the court issued a committal warrant with deferred effect.
Once incarcerated, Pierre Palmade will be able to “formulate a request for sentence modification which will be subject to the decision of a sentence enforcement judge” at the end of an adversarial hearing, the Bordeaux prosecutor’s office recalled the day after the actor’s conviction.
