Their album is doing so well that the rockers want to strike while the iron is hot.
At 65 years old, Robert Smith probably didn’t expect his new releases to do so well with the publicespecially when it’s been years since we’ve heard certain voices saying that “rock is dead”. Yet, with his group The Cure, they have just achieved one of the hits of the year in terms of sales, gthanks to their album “Songs of a lost world” released on November 1st. A record which had a real global success, with excellent places in the charts of quite a few big countries around the world. So, the group decided to reissue it, but also to make a live album!
Two new records around “Songs of a Lost World”
If Liam Gallagher recently confided that he would rather listen to two foxes mating in a bush at 5 a.m. than The Cure album, there is obviously people who have musical tastes quite different from his own, given the success of the record. The English therefore decided to release a live version of “Songs of a lost World”including the pieces played on stage during the band’s concert at the Troxy in London, in November 2024.
An album which will be available from December 13, 2024 in several physical formats (CD, vinyl, and even cassette) and all profits from which will be donated to the War Child associationwhich helps child victims of war.
But that’s not all: a special edition of the album will also be releasedincluding in particular versions instrumentales de “Songs of a Lost World”. This is the ideal gift for Christmas if you have The Cure fans around you!
