Rapper Maes in turmoil. Targeted by an arrest warrant after being convicted of violence in an assemblythe artist who is currently in Dubai, has canceled his concert at the Accor Arena in which was to take place in the coming days, on December 19.

The concert which was initially scheduled to take place in February had been postponed for the same reasons, before finally being canceled, those around him said on Monday, December 2. Maes was also scheduled to perform in Switzerland, in Lausanne, on December 7, this date is also canceled.

On his X account, Maes reacted to the Ouest- article: “Sorry team… Reimbursement of tickets tomorrow at 2 p.m.” he wrote, nwithout adding a flashing light and police car emoji… “It was so predictable, you took people for idiots” can we read under the rapper's post. Those who had taken train tickets and hotel rooms to come are not delighted to learn this two weeks before the event…

Maes: “sentence in remand center”

This decision follows Maes' conviction last June: ten months in prison and a fine of 10,000 euros.had been handed down as a sentence by the Paris Criminal Court. If his lawyer was hoping for a sentence modification under an electronic bracelet, this is not the case.

According to a document that our colleagues from Ouest-France were able to read, the prosecutor told Maes that as soon as he arrived on French territory, he would be arrested. “police officers will be responsible for notifying you of your arrest warrant, subsequently involving its execution as part of the execution of your sentence in a remand center.” is written in the letter.

As a reminder, in September 2018, Maes was accompanied by a group of friends and as they left a recording studio in the capital, they attacked a man. Violently punched in the face, the victim was then totally incapacitated for six years. Maes then admitted the punches and compensated the victim. The attacked man then withdrew his complaint but the courts decided to continue the current procedure.
