Fans of Japan and of pop culture will be able to rejoice: a new business opens its doors in Dieppe (Seine-Maritime), on Place Saint-Jacques: Your Multiverse.
Vanessa Delnay is the manager. Its “multiverse” opens on Saturday November 23, 2024.
Fans from the Club Dorothée generation
Vanessa Delnay previously worked as a specialized territorial agent for nursery schools, then as an educational assistant in colleges.
Her husband, Adrien, worked for six years in a pet store before retraining in metal machining.
The couple comes from the generation of Club Dorothée, this television show from the late 1980s and 1990s which broadcast Japanese cartoons and manga.
“We’ve been talking about opening a store for at least ten years,” confides Vanessa Delnay. We have always been into manga, films, series and Japanese culture. »
Food, figurines, clothes…
So, when the Pretty Dolls store closed its doors, freeing up space, the Seinomarine took the plunge and decided to open its store. “There is nothing in this area in the sector,” explains her husband.
With approximately 50 m² of surface area, you can find Japanese food and drink products, but also objects of Japanese culture, goodies from various pop culture licenses or even haoris, Japanese jackets.
One Piece, Pokémon, Lord of the Rings, Back to the Future… there’s plenty to choose from.
Ultimately, it is planned to organize card tournaments for the Magic game “and perhaps Pokémon” depending on customer demand. A website will also be launched in 2025.
Your Multiverse store, 11, place Saint-Jacques in Dieppe. Open Monday from 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
