Maison Alicia, a new pastry shop, opened its doors last Saturday at 37 quai des Bateliers, in Strasbourg.

There are cakes there original and regressive.

Original sweets

“Your home, even more delicious,” is how Alicia describes her store. Following this idea, the young woman developed some lip-smacking recipes.

Her rose, a pretty trompe-l’oeil cake, is the perfect example. It combines a “ganache whipped with milk chocolate and tonka bean, a creamy peanuta chocolate madeleine biscuit and Breton shortbread. »

This cuteness rubs shoulders with trompe l’oeil pretzel created especially for the opening of the store.

Cakes from childhood

In the store, which also tea room and coffee shopwe also find childhood sweets like meaty madeleines or delicious financiers. But be careful, modernized.

The former candidate for the best pastry chef show on M6 has also developed cookies to personalize, presented in individual boxes.

“They are cooked to order. The customer can choose the toppings which range from salted butter caramel to pieces of speculoos. Once he makes his choice, the cookie is baked again. We eat them hot as if they had just come from the oven,” explains Alicia.

Logs for Christmas

For the Christmas period, logs should be offered. Orders will be available from December 2.

To wait, we can already find a hot chocolate homemade with speculoos whipped cream and a mulled wine House. They are offered at the Christmas cart which is located not far from the entrance to the pastry shop.
