This time, it’s a video dating from 2011 that resurfaces and shakes up social networks. In these images, the man who was then called Puff Diddy and Justin Bieber are on the set of Jimmy Kimmel Live!. The rapper and the singer, then 16 years old, are questioned about their relationship. “What’s going on between you? Do you work together?” asks Jimmy Kimmel, the host of the show. “No… We became friends in a strange way,” P.Diddy replies before adding: “For a lot of us, he’s like a little brother… He’s not afraid to call and ask for advice.”
In the interview transcribed at greater length by Page Six, P.Diddy then compares the music industry to “a strong family” and that many people, including himself, want to “surround” the young Bieber for ” protect” because she’s a “nice person”. “Besides his talent, he’s one of the greatest kids you’ll ever know,” he adds.

Faced with this praise, Jimmy Kimmel suggested that P.Diddy buy the singer a car like he did for his own son. To which Justin Bieber responds: “He gave me a Lamborghini, but I haven’t had it yet.” To these words, the rapper reacts, without a smile. “He had the Lamborghini for a day or two and he had access to the house,” he says first. And what follows is chilling: “and he knows he shouldn’t talk about the things he does with his big brother Puff on national television,” the rapper adds.
Humor or real threats? No one knows yet. In the 2011 footage, the audience laughs and applauds at P.Diddy’s remarks. But the public of 2024 is less enthusiastic. In comments to this video, Internet users are rather horrified, convinced that Justin Bieber is one of the rapper’s victims and that these images are proof. “A red flag that everyone ignored”; ‘It’s tragic, horrible and despicable that this happened to a young boy.
