R&B star Khalid directly addressed the subject of his homosexuality in a series of social media posts, after his former partner revealed their affair without asking his permission.
“Let me be clear, I am not ashamed of my sexuality! I’m OK with myself. But, in reality, it’s nobody’s business,” wrote the 26-year-old artist.
In a message posted on X, the other man claims to be a former companion of the singer with 51 million monthly streams on the Spotify platform. “I dated this idiot singer […] he tried to trick me, lie and say that I broke into his house because I broke up with him,” reads the message, accompanied by a photo of the then-couple.
This post, widely reported, has since been deleted. But it was enough to provoke strong reactions. “Wait, I hope Khalid isn’t gay?” », Exclaimed some Internet users in particular.
