Graulhet. Guitar and voice duo at Labo-M this Friday

Friday, July 5 at 6:30 p.m., two great names in flamenco whose paths have been intertwined for over 40 years will perform at Labo-M. Bernard Sandoval and Serge Lopez, beyond their long friendship, are united as a duo to quench their thirst for origins in search of roots. Passing through Africa or Andalusia, through the Andes or Brazil, through rhythm and through dreams, they have traveled this inner path that moves away from flamenco to better return to it and transcend its life of energy and emotions. They offer us with two voices and two guitars their jewel of sincerity.

There are musical stories that take their roots outside of time and fashion. That of Serge Lopez and Bernardo Sandoval is part of these encounters linked by the same passion, the same devotion and the same attitude to life towards music. In the 80s, Serge joined Sandoval’s band. With this fusion and strong complicity, they gave concerts throughout Europe and recorded several albums. A personal career followed for each, in France and around the world, and Bernardo for his part won the César for Best Film Music for “Western” by Manuel Poirier in 1998.

Today, almost thirty years later, Serge and Bernardo are reunited for an original creation designed from the moments of life and music of each of these two great artists, these two great guitars around a single desire: to share without restraint, without barriers or musical prejudices, a music that flows in their veins and in their hearts. A gift for the first day of the Rues d’été Festival. Small catering with tapas planned.
