Montreal. A look back at the “Make Art” event

On June 25, the Cultural Circle brought together participants to “Make Art” at the Mazières house. This meeting aimed to reflect, analyze, identify successes and point out improvements to be made to the event. The success of this first edition lies in the establishment of bonds of trust between the different partners, the reinforced collaboration of the associations involved in the organization, the investment of individuals and volunteers as well as the commitment of the “artists”. All these people made it possible to set up workshops and activities which were popular with a large audience.

It was proposed during this meeting that efforts be focused on communication and material organization. A central reception area open during the two days of this event could be set up. More legible and more artistic signage for the route will need to be considered, as will the signage of the exhibition locations and the simplification of the supports and the map distributed to visitors. In order to offer quality activities, and to artistically diversify the scenes, exhibitions, etc., the association must increase its financial resources and develop contacts with new partners. A membership campaign, a search for sponsors and a call for applications from artists are part of the new project for 2025.

The cultural circle offers you a “capsule exhibition” all summer in the window of the Puit banal. Free musical evenings are scheduled for July 26, August 9 and August 23. A booklet has been published with the entire program for the summer period, do not hesitate to consult it.
