The Revue fribourgeoise returns from December 5 to the Aula of the Collège de Pérolles in Fribourg. One of the authors, Julien Rossier aka Lord Beeve, tells us more about this edition. “This year, like the previous ones, we are offering around ten sketches which talk about Friborg news, but also a few nods to international news,” confides the comedian and columnist on RadioFr.
Among the topics covered, we find historical themes revisited with humor. “We notably have the construction of the cathedral and the invention of the Friborg flag,” reveals Lord Beeve. The authors also chose to integrate international news by adapting it to Friborg style, such as Eurovision and the Paris Olympic Games. “We are going to transform these events by adding our local touch,” he adds mischievously.
Decors drawn live
Writing a review is a demanding exercise. “It’s not so much the news that says what we’re going to say, it’s more: do we have anything to say about the news,” explains Lord Beeve. With his co-authors, Jeremy Crausaz and David Vida, they list the key topics of the year and look for an original angle to approach them. “We put the subjects on the table, and everyone takes on those that inspire them the most,” he explains.
The originality of the Revue fribourgeoise also lies in its staging. The sets are drawn live by designer Alex de La Liberté and projected for each sketch. “Alex’s drawings enrich our texts and immerse the audience in the world of each scene,” underlines the author.
The Revue fribourgeoise will be held from December 5 to 21 at the Aula of the Collège de Pérolles in Fribourg. Tickets are already on sale on monbillet.ch. Also find the columns of Lord Beeve, Jeremy Crausaz and David Vida in Jamais Sans on Radio Fribourg.
