The Place de La Liberté, in Pontrieux, is enriched with a new business, unprecedented in La Petite Cité de Character, namely a bookstore called “Monocle”. This initiative was launched by Pauline Bonaventure. Originally from Quimperlé, she has lived in Pontrieux for five years.
“I previously worked in the Guingamp-Paimpol Mobilité network and I wanted to make a professional change,” she says. Passionate about reading since my childhood, I seized this opportunity and followed a work-study training course at L’école de la Bibliothèque. For my installation, I also received help from Initiative Armor, France Active and the Brittany Region, whom I would like to thank. »
Already nearly 5,000 references
Pauline Bonaventure offers for sale, in its numerous shelves installed on two floors, various new works, intended for all audiences, with for the moment already nearly 5,000 references. There is also a space dedicated to literature on Brittany. It is also possible to order books. Reading corners are also accessible.
On Saturday, December 21, during the afternoon, she will welcome the writer Claire Connan who will dedicate her work “Le corbeau des lavoirs”. Activities will be organized regularly, including, in February, a Harry Potter evening. For the official opening, this Monday, November 25, the business will be open continuously from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
