Donald Trump victory: Ellen DeGeneres and her wife moved to England

Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi packed their bags and left the United States, heading to England, following the election of Donald Trump.

With her wife, actress Portia de Rossi, Ellen DeGeneres has decided to opt for a new life in the United Kingdom. The couple now live in the Cotswolds, in the southwest of England, almost two hours from London.

The 66-year-old ex-host and former actress of the series Arrested Development51, is now preparing to list their $27 million mansion in Montecito, California.

The lovers, who married in 2008, will probably “never” return to the United States permanently. Sources told TMZ the pair decided to “get the hell out” of the country immediately after the former president’s victory over Kamala Harris, which left them “very disillusioned.”

Ellen DeGeneres had loudly expressed her support for Kamalas Harris during the election race. She even reportedly donated to the vice president’s campaign.

In England, the couple can count on many famous neighbors, including David and Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Elizabeth Hurley and Jeremy Clarkson.

The area is also home to members of the royal family, as King Charles and Queen Camilla own Highgrove House in Gloucestershire.
