In Baden as in Lausanne, the public can visit two residences in superb parks, thanks to two powerful families who donated their heritage to the cities, giving birth to two foundations, then two museums, that of the Villa Langmatt and the Hermitage. Between Baden and Lausanne, the double exhibition which has just opened at the Hermitage invites us to take a look at the impressionism collected by the Swiss.

THE Masterpieces of the museum Langmatt, Boudin, Renoir, Cézanne, Gauguin – this is the title of the main exhibition – are therefore exhibited in Lausanne. The capital of Vaud is the first stop on a “European tour” that will see the heart of the Langmatt collection, some fifty impressionist paintings including 22 Renoirs, leave for Germany, then Austria, while the renovation project that began in Baden is completed in 2026.
