DOCILE makes pop and combative poetry. The emotion is on edge with this young singer-songwriter. The singer takes us into her heart and her brain directly, melodiously, against a backdrop of electro pop arrangements.
After reaching in second position, out of more than eighty applications, in the French song competition organized by France Bleu Nord and France Bleu Picardie in June 2024, DOCILE always delivers more activism and asserts itself in the defense of women’s rights, in its second EP “Rupture”, available since November 15, 2024.
“Music is a way of saying things that I can’t say in everyday life, a way of opening my heart“, she tells us during our recording session in the studios Les Hauts en Scènes from France 3.
Let’s discover his repertoire which promises to be rich in emotions.
DOCILE, mischievous artist name of this young singer, an anagram of her first and last name – Lucile Dominique -, but above all fearsomely provocative: “C‘is a name to be taken in the second degree, because women are too often “docile”; it’s an adjective that is too often attributed to them“, declares the artist.
This is particularly what she denounces in title 3 of this live: “Femininity“, a key piece of his set, which we feel the need to sing: “A summary of all the rage I have towards what I have experienced, and what too many women experience“, DOCILE tells us.
The title “Femininity” is a summary of all the rage I have towards what I have experienced and what too many women experience. It’s an anthem for not making yourself small, no longer being docile, and saying that you’ve had enough.

Thus, the artist seems to use music to escape from his own emotions, to gain height. She was supported in this perilous but saving musical operation by its guitarist Clément Barret.
Denouncing some injustices, yes, but while giving us gentleness and sensuality to better fight, to confront, this thanks in particular to the melodies and the dance of DOCILE when she sings, like second nature. Speech and body are in harmony. The message is even more meaningful: the music is unvarnished, fair, meaningfulthe rhythm carries us away; she is graceful, sensual, a bit romantic but with a rebellious side that suits us well.
Thus, the little girl whose parents say that she already wanted to make music at three years old, plows her furrow, traces her path. The first scales were learned at the local music school in Dunkirk from the age of four: accordion, piano, choir. At thirteen she wrote her first poems, her first songs. At sixteen, she left for India and returned only more sensitive to the fate reserved for women.
After a first EP under his real name in 2017, DOCILE was born in 2020. Continuing, the clip You can’t even imagine sees the light of day.
She opens for Gaétan Roussel, Juliette Armanet, Hoshi, MPL, and even Picarde Kimberose. She is notably winner of the RIFFX springboard, finalist of the “Versailles live” springboard.
It seems that the young Dunkirk woman, between feminism, love and hatred, ended up finding her own musical style. She stands out, we spot her: she writes her French song, indomitable, with the strength of rock and often slam, with her electronic textures on a keyboard, which she totally masters.
It seems that we haven’t heard the last of the DOCILE indocile. She tells us, in this regard, that she would be delighted to play at home, in Dunkirk, Aux Quatre Ecluses or at the Festival la Bonne Aventure. Word to the wise, hello!
