The artistic qualities of Régine Lacour in painting no longer need to be demonstrated and are the subject of logical recognition through a current exhibition in Amilly.
It takes place in the Saint-Loup room, where 50 paintings created with various techniques, including collages, and a number of miniature monochromes embellish the space. Prolific, the Montargo artist whose Atelier 78 (rue des Déportés) regularly invites visitors to discover his work, has produced a lot during the year 2024. Like this series adorning an entire wall and called Fabulous Creatures. “Since June, my creations have radiated more calm and, according to my visitors, suggest silence and the desire to settle down. A painting feeds on the precedent of which it is a parent, creating recurrence in my work. I also digress by expanding into my paintings, while remaining within the subject of painting,” confides Régine Lacour. His exhibition was aptly called Digressions and Recurrences.
Trained since childhood in acrobatics, singing, theater, dance and choreography, Régine Lacour naturally imbues her works with movement but also musicality. She exhibits solo, frequently in galleries and saw her work presented a year ago, for a month at the Alticiné.
Practical. The exhibition will still be visible at the Saint-Loup room on November 23, 24, 30 and 1 is December, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Free and free entry.
