Well-known TikTok stars Alex Warren and Kouvr Annon recently exchanged wedding vows in a beautiful ceremony that hit the entire TikTok scene. However, this special day was not easy for Alex and Kouvr, who had to denounce the inappropriate behavior of influencer and guest Lilah Gibney.

But first, a little summary of who Alex and Kouvr are to refresh our memories:

The two content creators began dating in 2018, when Kouvr was living in Hawaii and Alex was living in California. At the time, Alex was living out of a friend’s car since he had been evicted from his home and had nowhere to live. He convinced Kouvr to move to California by promising her he had a house, then had to rent a room in a motel and tell her the truth. Luckily, Kouvr didn’t let that put her off, and things eventually turned around for the couple when they joined the Hype House.

This enormous mansion was the home of a dozen famous TikTok creators, including Kouvr and Alex, but also Chase Hudson, Thomas Petrou, Nikita Dragun, Nick Austin, Ryland Storms, Alex Warren, Jack Wright, James Wright, the D’Amelio sisters, Addison Rae, and even Sienna Mae before she was accused of sexual abuse.

A documentary and several years later, the only creators still living in the famous house are Thomas Petrou and his girlfriend, Mia Hayward, and even this couple is starting to move. Alex and Kouvr have moved to focus on their relationship, Alex’s singing career and their personal content, in addition to having remained very close with their colleagues from the Hype House Tabitha Swatosh and Michael Sanzone. Although it is not clear whether young brides can still be considered part of the gang of this content house, it is certain that they remained on very good terms with a large number of the members.

The controversy at their wedding

While the wedding of this adorable couple has been a source of content for several months on the respective pages of Alex, Kouvr and even Tabitha, one of the ladies in waiting, the ceremony that took place this weekend surprised the Internet, filled with touching moments between the two lovers. Alex and Kouvr published the content of the big day drop by drop, showing nothing of the ceremony on the day itself, probably enjoying their sweet moments together.

While several of the influencers in attendance respected this choice and posted TikToks that didn’t really show any details of the wedding, one influencer named Lilah Gibney was quick to post not just a video of her presence, but an entire vlog about the beautiful evening. This creator was at the time very close to influencers Tana Mongeau and Brooke Schofield, before a fight broke out between them, and was accused of using Alex and Kouvr’s wedding just for visibility.

Several fans expressed their outrage, noting that in addition, in an Alex story that was deleted quickly after the fact, Kouvr could be seen posing with the sign put up at the wedding that read: “we invite you to be totally present during the ceremony; Please turn off cell phones and cameras.

A web celebrity named Mattie Westbrook even addressed the situation in a TikTok, mentioning that everyone should be able to manage their wedding as they wish, but for Mattie and her girlfriend, Amara, a guest vlogging the ceremony would be unacceptable. Alex and Kouvr agreed in the comments, proving that they are not happy with Lilah’s behavior.

The consensus on TikTok is unanimous: people find what Lilah did unacceptable and selfish, and feel bad for the newlyweds, who must have felt pressured to release their content quickly, now that the influencer had given to the public such a detailed overview of their ceremony. Lilah apologized on video, saying that there was no instruction not to post about the wedding, but many Internet users believe that this TikTok is not sincere.

Will Alex and Kouvr speak out more publicly about the affair? That remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: future influencer weddings will know what to expect…
