CULTURE. The Harmonie Jeunesse Granby Haute-Yamaska will be pushing the tone on the side of France and Italy in the coming days. A memorable European tour for the twenty or so musicians who will perform on stage on the other side of the Atlantic.

For this trip to France and Italy, the Harmonie Jeunesse Granby Haute-Yamaska will not be alone on the journey, as it will be able to count on the participation of the orchestra from Collège Durocher, from Saint-Lambert.

Just before leaving for the airport on Thursday at the end of the day, the Granby organization took the opportunity to highlight the departure of the troop.

“The excitement is palpable among all of our musicians. We have been preparing for several months to experience this magnificent adventure and we can’t wait to present our concerts in front of a European audience. The Youth Harmony is characterized by its desire to provide musical experiences to its members and I am convinced that this tour of Europe, the eighth in the history of our harmony, will long mark those who experience it, both at the level musical as well as cultural,” declared Cédrick Beauregard, president of the Harmonie Jeunesse Granby Haute-Yamaska.

From June 29 to July 6, the Harmonie will perform on four occasions: June 29 at the Sacré-Cœur du Prado church in Cannes (France), June 30 at Place Frédéric Mistral in Aups (France) during the Festival Provençal des orchestres de jeunes, July 3 at Piazza Della Signorai in Florence (Italy) as part of the Orchestre Giovanili Festival, and July 4 at Piazza Dei Priori in Volterra (Italy).
