As part of the Cities on Stage program proposed by the Department, Bricquebec-en-Cotentin (Manche) will vibrate to the sound of Cuban music with the group Blues for dos gardenias, at the Donjon cinema, this Wednesday November 20, 2024.
Love songs and blues
Bringing together musicians from different backgrounds, Blues for dos gardenias celebrates the meeting of the Trova, repertoire of old love songs Cuban, and Caribbean blues, bringing together the voices of the Cuban Eliène Castillo and the Andalusian Clara Tudela.
The electro-acoustic guitar by Rémi Charmasson and the keyboard by Raphaël Lemonnier enhance the songs of sublime melodies and of joyful rhythms. Of beautiful balances and one high sensitivity emerge from the whole.

Thus, Cuban songs, calypsos, mambos and old boleros tinged with jazz and blues come together. The bolero becomes blues, the blues becomes bolero.
A magnificent alliance of suavity, warm and tangy sounds, wild rhythms, a reinvented Cuban Trova making you want to get up to dance and applaud.
The pianist arranger, Raphaël Lemonnier, who enjoys a world famouswent to draw the source of this project by heading towards the Caribbeanto meet the trovadores, groups of troubadours who sing habaneras, guajiras or boleros, sentimental songs born around 1880 in Santiago de Cuba, cradle of the Cuban Trova.
