Saturday morning, more than twenty people (elected officials and hikers) participated in the inauguration of the Laumondière hiking trail, access to which is located at the exit of the town, on the road leading to La Chapelle-d 'Andaine. This path is located in the middle of the Andaines forest.
« The creation of this hiking trail has been in the works since 2018, but required ua public utility investigation, which collected numerous opinions, and the signing of notarial deeds. Which took a long time,
underlined Mayor Olivier Petitjean. An exchange of land, plus a purchase, from the CRC real estate company, made it possible to set up the continuity of this hiking route, made up of meanders and a difference in altitude, measuring approximately 350 m long by 3 m wide .
This only required clearing carried out by the City's technical services.
adds Jean-François Belliard, environmental advisor.
The Laumondière path connects with the long-distance hiking trail 22 (GR 22), which connects Paris Cathedral to Mont-Saint-Michel. The GR 22 is used by hikers or mountain bikers.
Participants wish that signage be installed
