Singer Manu Chao published a new track on Wednesday June 26, 2024 and announced a new album for September, 17 years after his last studio record.

« Next album soon Long Live You to be released on September 20, 2024,” wrote the 63-year-old singer-musician-traveler on his website.

A month ago, on May 29, Manu Chao posted a first single online, also titled “Viva Tu”. On Wednesday, he published a second title, “Sao Paulo Motoboy”, an anthem to the motorcycle delivery men of the Brazilian megacity.

Four albums, then a career under the radar

Manu Chao is the author of only four studio albums, from “Clandestino” (1998), a legendary mix of reggae, rock, raï, samba, and Latin music, to “La Radiolina” (2007).

After millions of copies soldhe pursued a career under the radar, continuing to perform, very discreetly, in all four corners of the world.
