They have just opened their doors in 2024 and are already receiving awards. Of the 17 prizes awarded by the independent guide “Le Fooding”, three were won by restaurants and hotels run by young Bretons. Small tables which prove that Brittany is definitely a welcoming land for gourmets.

Of the 17 prizes revealed on Monday, on the occasion of its 25th ranking, Fooding selected three Breton establishments.
In Finistère, located just opposite the market halls, with its old bistro feel, Café Enez de Mahaut Le Lagadec was voted best neighborhood café just a few months after its opening. Originally from Rennes, the 31-year-old young woman retrained in the kitchen after a career in the cultural sector, performing arts and supporting artists.
In Pont-Croix in Finistère, two other restaurateurs from Rennes won the “the best meal“. Émeline Macé and Tanios Nakhle Cerruti opened the doors of their wine bar restaurant last April. The two met in Rennes where Émeline had opened a Rewined wine bar and Tanios cooked at the Cavale bar.
Third Breton winner, the Rivage restaurant in Portivy in Morbihan was also selected by the guide.
Three restaurants which opened their doors this year and quickly conquered the taste buds of foodies in the surrounding area… and therefore those of Fooding.
It is on these small establishments that Fooding, an independent guide to restaurants and hotels that came under the leadership of Michelin in 2020. It highlighted 350 new addresses this year, most of them outside Paris. Its 2025 edition will be released in bookstores this Friday, November 21.
These young restaurants, like the 36 starred restaurants in the region, promote Breton cuisine well beyond its borders.
