This Saturday, November 16, Léa Salamé and Christophe Dechavanne were on the set of What an era!on France 2. The problems of health of the host were discussed on the set. “Christophe has a lot of character and is ultrasensitive. When he is unhappy and going through difficult times in his personal life, he cannot hide it and you can feel it on the air. Conversely, when he is gay, it shows. That’s its charm.” explained Léa Salamé to La Tribune Sunday.
Since 2022, the duo has worked together on the France Télévisions show every Saturday evening. Léa Salamé spoke at length about her relationship with Christophe Dechavanne. “Il there could have been friction, but as happens with any colleague”she explained. “We made a big deal out of rivalry which does not exist.”
Christophe Dechavanne has health concerns
As a beginner What a time! the presenter then asked Christophe Dechavanne how he was: “How are you my Christophe?“
she asked. “Always sore in the back… Support him because he still can't walk. He's got the crutches and everything.” explains Léa Salamé.
Christophe Dechavanne, present, then responded:
“He’s a crutch, but he gets out of it, he moves, he moves.” On set, he was then asked when he would be able to make his spectacular entrances on set again.
“And right now he can’t, for a year or two.” he clarified, ironically speaking of himself in the third person singular.
Christophe Dechavanne was already very afraid for his life
In his book Sans transition, the 66-year-old host returned to a operation which went badly. He had a stent inserted,”this tiny metal spring Who keeps the arteries open in order to recover good arterial circulation and avoid a heart attack.” And the operation could have gone very wrong.
“During the pose, while I am under sedation anesthesia, therefore aware of what is happening around me, at one point I feel my bed rotating. I leave the barren field, people are running. Panic. Mess.”
he writes. “Suddenly I hear: 'Aorta! Aorta! Aorta!‘ (…) the precise location of the stent placement, just farted, letting this piece of titanium escape a few centimeters from the heart. This one is about to take an ascending blood current which could take him to my brain.” Fortunately, his surgeon blocked the stent before reaching the brain which could have caused him a Stroke or kill him.
