Rabat experienced an extraordinary evening this Sunday, June 23, during the 19th edition of the Mawazine Rythmes du Monde Festival. For the first time in Morocco, the public had the honor of attending a holographic concert by the legendary Oum Kalthoum, at the Mohammed V theater. This evening, full of emotions and nostalgia, was marked by the resurrection of there ” Dame » or « the Fourth Pyramid of Egypt“, as she is affectionately called.

Hologram technology, already acclaimed during previous shows in Dubai, Egypt and Saudi Arabia, offered the Moroccan public an unprecedented musical experience. Fans of the Dame » had the impression of reliving the golden era when Oum Kalthoum lit up the stages with his charismatic presence and his captivating voice.

Died on February 3, 1975 in Cairo, Oum Kalthoum is not her first meeting with the Moroccan public. In March 1968, the Egyptian singer had already set the Mohamed V theater on fire with three memorable concerts. She was received by the late King Hassan II and the great Moroccan families, thus discovering the art of living and Moroccan music in Rabat, Fez, Meknes and Marrakech.

This Sunday evening, the Mohammed V theater witnessed a unique show. The Diva, projected as a hologram, seemed to sing with all her soul, reviving precious memories and making the hearts of her admirers vibrate. The packed house, sold out just 48 hours after the opening of sales, testified to the unconditional love that Moroccans have for this immortal artist.

Following the resounding success of this first performance, the Mawazine Festival has announced a second evening with the hologram of the legendary singer, scheduled for Tuesday June 25. A new opportunity for fans to relive the magic of Oum Kalthoum and pay tribute to one of the greatest artists of all time.

This evening, beyond the technological prowess, was a poignant tribute to Oum Kalthoum, pushing the limits of innovation in the field of music. The spectators were transported on a journey through time, as if the diva was still among them, illuminating the stage of the Mohammed V theater with her presence. The Mawazine Festival thus succeeded in a daring bet, combining emotion and technology to celebrate a timeless icon of Arabic music.
