A theatrical performance open to the general public will take place on Friday June 28 at 8 p.m. at Château de Calassou, 944 chemin de Calassou in Duravel. The story of a farm, a man and his family. Pierre Gayart is a farmer. He raises, with his father Jacques and his son Nicolas, a small flock of sheep and goats. At the dawn of his 43rd birthday, Pierre is faced with numerous family and professional difficulties. The play tells the story of the instinct for life and survival of this man who, after phases of discouragement, will do everything possible to save his family and his family farm. Based on extensive documentary work and dozens of interviews (farmers from all sectors, artisans, veterinarians, etc.), the piece aims to be a hymn to the rural world and aims to retrace a history of French agriculture and the upheavals of rural world. It addresses themes as varied as transmission, patriarchy, the place of women, the weight of taboos, the boundary between private and professional life, models of production and consumption or the place of Man in nature.
